This is a practical textbook for studying the Aramaic language of the Bible and Targum Onkelos. It contains not only the necessary theoretical background to Aramaic phonology, morphology, and syntax but also exercises that would facilitate better memorization of the learned material. At the end of each section, one can find an excursus in historical grammar, which describes changes in Aramaic grammatical forms in comparison to other Semitic languages. The textbook will be of interest to students and lecturers, and to anyone learning Aramaic.
